Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.30 Update: 5 Major Changes & Bug Fixes

This week's changelog presents exciting new features including that villagers can now go to bed peacefully, foxes have acquired extra hearts, and we have heaps of new details on bundles. which are now available as an experimental feature for all Bedrock players.

Now the villagers will sleep silently (since they are asleep anyway!) and moreover, the Overworld foxes will be getting up to more hearts (10!) – these are so skilled that it is possible for you to teach them to be your companions as well as go with you on your trip. On top of that, we've now solved some bugs, made the game more balanced, etc. as well.

In today's blog post, I am going to tell you which new features have been added in this update.

Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.30 Changelog

1. Bundles

A Bundle is a new item in Minecraft 1.21.30, that allows you to fuse different blocks or items in one inventory slot. Usually, the items cannot be stacked, thus, you may waste the space with the items in few slots. A Bundle can pack those items together such that there is no wasted space.

  • Bundles are a trial feature - to use them, you must turn on the bundle experiment when creating a new world.
  • Please note: The Bundles that are being polished in the Preview and Betas phase are still in the process of bug fixes and tweaks so you might notice some slight differences in this experimental version.
  • A Bundle is a tool that can group a collection of items into one bundle.
  • A Bundle can only be accommodated in one stack (usually 64 items), but it can be a mixture of various other item types.

Bundles can be directly filled with things in the inventory. Hovering a bundle will show you the items inside it.

2. Gameplay Changes

Many gameplay changes have been made in Minecraft 1.21.30 update.

  • The Ominous Bottle can apply a lower-level Bad Omen effect even though its level is lower, as long as the player had one active before.
  • Now, boats will not secretly exit the surface of the ice.
  • Eliminated an instance of a game crash happening in case a Lectern was being opened and meanwhile a Sticky Piston was moving it. The Lectern now fully closes the book screen when moved.
  • On different platforms, dismounting a vehicle now does not place the player inside the ground.
  • Trial Spawners' Permeation Shift has been fixed; it is now the same size as an ordinary block.

3. Graphical changes

  • Many Graphics changes have been made in Minecraft update.
  • Fixed an issue in which banners were rendered front of other transparent objects even if their position is different.
  • Changed the maximum framerate slider to "Framerate Limit" and included a tooltip to explain what it does.

4. Items Rarity changes

  • Rarities of various items and blocks were changed in Minecraft 1.21.30 update.
  • As these Rarity updates will apply to the Java Edition snapshot in the future, all item and block rarities will become equal across both platforms.
  • Rarity (a set of categories) is a property that determines the color that is used to display the name of an item or a block.
  • It has a no gameplay impact, but it is used to indicate how difficult the task is to obtain.

See the tables below for the items and blocks that have changed to that rarity category.
